Target Distribution Center in DeKalb to add 450 Jobs this Spring [Video]

The Target Distribution Center in DeKalb announced on Monday they will doing a lot of hiring this spring.

The plan is to add more than 450 jobs. Currently the distribution center employs 350 individuals.  The announcement was made at Monday night's DeKalb City Council meeting by Target  general manager and Director of distributions Mike Milano.

The distribution facility in DeKalb is located on the southside of town on Macom Drive and was built in 2006.

The Daily Chronicle Newspaper reports that DeKalb is one of Target's 38 U.S. distribution centers. target will be expanding it's scope and ehadcount

The facility on Macom will become what the company calls an upstream distribution center.

Milano says that a series of job fairs will be take place in Spring of 2016. One of the job fairs will take place at Kishwaukee College April 15th-16th (times TBA) along with additional job fairs at Target's DeKalb Distribution facility.

The distribution facility will be hiring:

• Warehouse Workers
• Operation Team Members
• Mechanics
• Clerical Positions
• Team Leaders
