Looking for something fun for your kids this summer that not only gets them out of the house but can teach them at the same time.

Take them to Symphony Saturdays.

As part of their youth program, Anderson Japanese Gardens is having Symphony Saturdays. Every second Saturday of the month your kids can enjoy the sounds of the symphony, while even trying out and playing different instruments by members of the Rockford Symphony Orchestra (RSO). It's a great way to introduce them to the arts of orchestral works and arrangements.

This past Saturday was the first in the four part series. The next meetings will be July 11th, August 8th, and September 12th. The admission is $10 and its for kids between the ages of five to ten years old, they must be accompanied by an adult.
