Winter Fun

The Rockford Park District's Snow Park at Alpine Hills has officially opened for Winter fun, and they will have extended hours during the holiday break.

If there is any good side to all the frigid weather and snow that Rockford has been enduring lately it's this; conditions are finally right for the Snow Park at Alpine Hills to officially open for the 2016/2017 season!

We finally have more bearable temperatures, plus some snow on the ground, so today is a great day to take the family to Gateway Parks Alpine Hills for plenty of wintertime fun!

There's snow on the ground in Rockford, and we've actually seen below freezing temperatures for about a week now, but the sledding at Alpine Hills is still closed due to weather...for now.

We've heard the rumors all week that our first big snow fall of the season is coming this weekend, but now it looks like the rumors have turned into facts, and we need to be prepared!

You may have heard that Jonny J and I got to check out the new Gateway Parks snow attraction at Alpine Hills Adventure Park and Golf Center recently, and boy did we have a blast!
