In April 2015, a tornado ripped through Fairdale, Illinois, taking out homes, businesses, trees, and cars. It also injured many and killed two residents.
On the fourth anniversary of that EF-4 tornado, WTVO/Fox39 Chief Meteorologist Candice King shared a message of remorse related to that day of destruction.
It's been 4 months since the April 9th tornado, the town of Fairdale is still getting help from good citizens here and far, including the Chicago White Sox.
Pitcher David Robertson will be paying the town a visit this Thursday.
After Monday night's tornado in Sublette, it's amazing that the damage wasn't as bad as it could have been like what happened to our friends in Fairdale.
As we approach the three month mark the town is slowly moving towards rebuilding but is still in need of help.
