Somebody Found Rockford’s Long-Forgotten ‘Official Song’

This morning I came across something on mystateline.com that totally blew my mind. Apparently Rockford has had an "official song" since 1944, but it was actually written in the early 1900's, and it has been missing for YEARS.

Since I am completely intrigued by this whole lost official Rockford song thing, I had to hop on Google to see what else I could about the song and the woman who wrote it. I then found this from Rockford Reminisce;

JB Love and I have now decided we REALLY want to get our hands on a copy of the sheet music for "Rockford, You're My Home Town" so that we can sweet talk one of our local musician friends into bringing our city's official song back to life. Know anyone that can help us out with that?
