Would you pay $250.00 to sit in a bar and watch the Cubs play in the World Series?Talk about a hefty cover charge to sit in a tavern with wall to wall people, and still have to pay for your drinks. Yikes, this Cubs-mania is getting out of hand.

Several establishments in Wrigleyville are doing just that! Okay, some of the bars will cover food and some drinks, depending on what package you want to by for the Cubs games on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

The website Hastickets has a listing of Chicago bars that are offing Cubs dining, drinking and watching packages.

Here are a few examples:

Casey Moran's in Wrigleyville is offering a seat in the bar, an appetizer, a meal and drinks for $225.00. We don;t know how many drinks, though.

Old Crow Smokehouse is offering a $500 package, which include a table for four. Drinks, 1 appetizer and 1 entree. What do the other three eat or does everyone have to share?

Dueces is offering general admission for one  person, appetizer buffet and drinks from 7pm to 10:45pm. There will be a service fee as well at checkout. How much of a service fee is unknown. $250.00

I guess everyone is looking to cash in on an event that does not happen but once every 71 years. Can you blame them?
