Back in September 2019 news broke that the Rockford Park District would likely close Sinnissippi Golf Course to help make up for the District's extreme budget shortfall, but Rockfordians weren't having it.

Concerned citizens teamed up to form the Save Sinnissippi Golf Course group, and their efforts were successful...Sinnissippi Golf Course will be open for our golfing pleasure in 2020, but the future beyond that is still very unclear.

Jay Sandine, Executive Director of the Rockford Park District, recently told wifr.com;

 If the community generates $100,000 a year that could maintain the course and allow for updates.

"We have infrastructure needs, we have a very old irrigation system, we have a clubhouse that needs repairs that cost money too," Sandine said.

So, how do we raise that kind of money?

You can make a secure donation directly to Sinnissippi Golf Course via the Rockford Park District online here, OR their other donation opportunities available for businesses like naming rights to a hole or naming rights to the entire golf course.
