Boone County Sheriff’s Police have charged a North Boone High School teacher on multiple counts of criminal sexual assault.

On Wednesday, police arrested Sarah Myers, 40, of Garden Prairie. Myers has been charged with two counts of criminal sexual assault, a class 1 Felony. She is in custody at the Boone County Jail on a $100,000.00 bond.

The arrest of Myers came after report by North Boone School District #200, according to   Boone County Sheriff’s Police who say:

She (Myers) had allegedly sexually abused a child under the age of 18 years old. North Boone School District #200 Officials have been very helpful in their cooperation and assistance with the investigation.

Police searched Myers resident and seized:

  • electronic equipment
  • cell phones
  • computers

WREX-TV is reporting that letter was sent to parents by North Boone Superintendent Michael Greenlee stating that

Myers allegedly had inappropriate contact with a student and she has been placed on administrative leave pending the resolution to the case.

The investigation by the Boone County Sheriff’s Office is continuing and the police ask that anyone having information to contact them at 815-544-2144.
