A section of Alpine Road will be closed down on Tuesday, June 13 for sanitary repairs. You may want to avoid this area tomorrow to save yourself some time.

According to the City of Loves Park website:

Beginning Tuesday, June 13, 2017 at 7:00 AM through Thursday, June 15, 2017, there will be no Northbound thru traffic on Alpine Road from Harlem Road to Juniper Lane, and no Southbound thru traffic from Juniper Lane to Harlem Road. Detours will be posted on Friday, June 9, 2017. This is part of the ongoing reconstruction of Alpine Road. Please avoid this area during the closure. If you have any questions, please contact the Loves Park Public Works Department at 815-639-2510.
Detour routes will be posted, but frequent travelers on Roosevelt better prepare themselves for extra traffic. The lights at Roosevelt and Alpine will be set to flashing to help control the traffic, but be aware, the Winnebago County Sheriff's Department will be patrolling the area, so don't even think of speeding. Unless you like getting tickets and paying hefty fines.
