Rockford Cooling Centers Open
Cooling centers open as temps rise in Rockford.
As heat index temperatures surpass 90's cooling centers have opened throughout the Rock River Valley, including Rockford Rescue Mission - open until 7 p.m. Sunday.
WREX-TV reports the follow locations have opened to the public for those that have no access to air conditioning.
