Hurricane Harbor Rockford Opening Day Is Almost Here

Growing up in Rockford, I literally spent my summers at Magic Waters (now called Hurricane Harbor Rockford).

My mom was a teacher, so she took my brother and me to Magic Waters all the time until we were old enough to drive ourselves. It was a great place to stay cool, hang out with friends all day, and since we had summer passes, it was an affordable way for our parents to get us out of their hair.

Admission prices may be a bit more now than when I was a kid, but a summer spent at Hurricane Harbor Rockford can still be affordable when you plan ahead.

Right now, through May 25, Hurricane Harbor Rockford is offering discounts on season passes, meal and drink plans, even single day passes...basically everything you need to have an awesome day at the waterpark.

It's important to remember that Hurricane Harbor season passes include unlimited visits, free general parking, discounts on food and merchandise, and access to other Six Flags parks throughout the Midwest.

If your family plans to go to Six Flags Great America or Hurricane Harbor Rockford more than a couple times this summer, the pass absolutely pays for itself.

If you're a family with younger kiddos, don't forget about the FREE Pre-K Pass for children ages 3-5. You do need a qualifying season pass or membership to register, (the deadline is May 31) but unlimited visits for little ones all summer is still a pretty sweet deal.

Now if you’ll excuse me, I need to start hunting down goggles, flip flops, and that one swimsuit my kid suddenly claims is “embarrassing” five minutes before opening day.
