Person of Interest in Fatal Shooting at Rockford Restaurant is Wanted By Police
Rockford Police are asking for the public's help to find an individual who was allegedly around during a shooting that happened on June 16 in a restaurant parking lot.
According to the press release, several reports of gunshots were reported at 3725 E. State Street just after 10 pm on June 16, and a short time later a vehicle struck a building not far from the shooting at 3415 State Street.
Rockford Police Officers learned that multiple individuals were 'in the parking lot of the San Jose Restaurant when an altercation ensued that ultimately resulted in the exchange of gunfire."
Officers were advised a short time later that two adult males arrived at Rockford area hospitals with life-threatening gunshot wounds. One of the men was a 40-year-old who died from the injuries he sustained in the shooting.

Photos have been released by the Rockford Police Department of an individual who is called a "person of interest" in the June 16 shooting in the San Jose Restaurant parking lot on E. State Street.
RPD asks for the public's assistance in identifying and locating the man in these photos.
