Rockford Is Getting a New Dessert Destination This Fall

Rockford, Illinois, is getting a new dessert destination called Melt n Dip soon, and as someone with a ridiculously serious sweet tooth, I can't wait to try it.

There are only a handful of things in this world I love more than chocolate, so when I heard a new dessert lounge called Melt n Dip is coming to Rockford, my first thought was basically, "Please tell me this is real."

Melt n Dip is coming to 575 S. Perryville Road in Rockford, (in the former Pizza Hut location) and after looking at what this place serves, I'm pretty sure my sweet tooth has already decided it's in love.

What Is Melt N Dip?

Basically, Melt n Dip is a dessert lounge that is built around one of my favorite food groups: chocolate. Specifically, Melt n Dip specializes in treats made with 100% Belgian chocolate, but it also serves Italian gelato, crepes, waffles, cakes, cookies, fruit desserts and many other drool-worthy sweet treats.

This is the kind of place where you walk in and immediately realize you have some very difficult decisions to make.

Do I want a waffle covered in chocolate? A crepe? Gelato? Cake? Fruit dipped in chocolate? A cookie?

Melt n Dip's Local Twist

Here's another reason I'm especially excited about Melt n Dip coming to Rockford: this will be a locally owned franchise, not another food place owned by a national corporation.

Rockford not only gets a new dessert place to devour, but we also get to support a local business owner who is investing in our community.

That's a pretty sweet combination! (Pun absolutely intended.)

Melt n Dip currently has seven other locations in Illinois, primarily in the Chicago suburbs, and the new Rockford location is hoping to open for business this fall.
