Rockford Police To Pass Out Free Ice Cream On Friday

It's going to be hot, like unreasonably hot, in Rockford tomorrow.

The Rockford Police know the impending heatwave is going to make people thirsting for some form of frozen relief.

RPD has enlisted an ice cream truck loaded with free frozen treats to pop by all three district police stations on Friday, July 19! Come stay cool with the cops!

You can pick up a free frozen treat at any of these locations Friday, July 19.

• District 1, 1045 West State from 11a-11:45a
• District 2, 1410 Broadway from 12p-12:45p
• District 3, 557 South New Towne from 1-1:45p

The fastest way to our sweltery, sweaty hearts as Rockfordians is definitely through our stomachs.

That said, this move by the Rockford Police Department is a cool way to keep up with community outreach.
