In a shocking twist (cone) that surprises no one, vanilla is America's most popular ice cream flavor. I mean, I love it, so I'm pumped, while there are others less than enthused. I get it, it's not like the flavor is trying anything too incredible, it's vanilla after all. If plain were a flavor, it would be vanilla.

The good news is that in Illinois, we're not just about a bowl of vanilla ice cream. We're here to make Moose Tracks, a delicious mixture of fudge, peanut butter cups, and ice cream. As big a fan as I am of vanilla ice cream, Moose Tracks is hard to beat.

According to Instacart data, Rocky Road is the top choice in California, while Maine prefers Peanut Butter Chocolate, and both Carolinas opt for Butter Pecan all day. I've never had Butter Pecan ice cream before, and that's okay because I'm pretty sure I'm not saying "pecan" correctly anyway.

Pineapple Coconut Is Coming in Hot (Why Though?)
Interestingly, Pineapple Coconut is the fastest-rising flavor in America, with a 37% increase from last year, along with Pistachio and Green Tea, which sounds like something that can miss me at all costs.
Midwest Loyalty Runs Deep for Moose Tracks
So yeah, while the rest of America goes vanilla, us folks in Illinois, along with Michigan, Wisconsin, Indiana, and Ohio, make tracks with our peanut butter and fudge ice cream.
