Rockford Police Seize Guns and Drugs in Halloween Day Operation
The Rockford Police Department successfully executed a targeted operation that resulted in the seizure of weapons and illegal substances across several residences in the city.
According to a press release from the Rockford PD, detectives and officers carried out search warrants on October 31 at locations on the 1800 block of Brownfield Avenue, the 300 block of N. Horace Avenue, and the 1600 block of 16th Avenue around 9:00 a.m., making significant discoveries.
Weapons and Drugs Confiscated in Multi-Location Raid
During the operation, Rockford Police recovered three handguns—one with defaced serial numbers—alongside over 28 grams of cocaine, more than 250 grams of cannabis, scales, U.S. currency, and over 80 ecstasy pills.

The search led to the arrest of three Rockford residents, all now facing multiple charges.
Arrests and Charges Filed
The Winnebago County State’s Attorney’s Office reviewed the facts and authorized charges for those taken into custody.
Jason Bryant, 29, faces charges including possession with intent to deliver cocaine, ecstasy, and cannabis, unlawful use of a weapon by a felon, no valid FOID, and an outstanding warrant for aggravated battery and mob action.
Enrique Dozal, 21, was charged with possession of a firearm with a defaced serial number, no valid FOID, and an outstanding warrant for aggravated battery and mob action.
Aarionte Mahone, 27, was also taken into custody on an outstanding warrant for aggravated battery and mob action.
The charges are merely accusations and all individuals are considered innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law, according to the Rockford PD press release.
