With the heat wave hitting the Rockford area finding places to stay nice and cool are of the necessity.  The Rockford Park District is offering free places to get cool and wet.

WREX  reports that the Rockford Park District is offering free ways to get nice and cool and wet during these hot days by offering the use of their automatic spray pads in several parks.

The spray pads can be turned on by pushing a button during the hours of 1pm to 8pm.
