Lockwood Park in Rockford is hosting fall activities for families to enjoy.

As much as things change, they also stay the same. Well, kind of. When I was a kid, my parents were always looking for ways to keep me busy. It was the same for when my daughter was young. Even today, adults want activities for their children. It's funny because it doesn't matter which generation. It's really all about getting them off the couch to get away from the screens, televisions, video games, or phones, and to be outside.

I think people are looking at life much differently now. We were all stuck at home for several weeks earlier this year. Many of our normal events have been canceled. I know for me, I've really enjoyed my extra family time. Everyone has been very creative in ways to stay busy and taking advantage of the things that are available to do. Plus, being outdoors has been huge. It's a fun and safe way to stay entertained.

How about something right here in Rockford to check out. It's "Fall on the Farm" at Lockwood Park. Here's what's going on.
