Rockford Animal Shelter’s On a Mission to Empty All Their Cages
Every year Winnebago County Animal Services in Rockford finds homes for thousands of pets, but sadly their cages are still usually filled to capacity.
Animals get lost, and too often pet owners are forced to relinquish ownership of their animal when they discover they can no longer care for it. More point here is; things happen, and thankfully the doors at Winnebago County Animal Services are open to help animals in need.
As the temps begin to go up in Rockford, so do the number of animals arriving at Winnebago County Animal Services. So, in order to get a jump ahead of their "busy season", the shelter will once again participate in the Bissell Pet Foundation's "Empty the Shelters" event this Wednesday, May 5 through Saturday, May 8.
From May 5 to May 8, the adoption fees on select pets at Winnebago County Animal Services will be discounted to $25, because the Bissell Pet Foundation will be sponsoring the remainder of the usual adoption fee.
