To help keep cats warm this winter, two Rockford area animal shelters are looking for supply donations.

I'm a big fan of animals. I enjoy having them around. Growing up, my family had dogs. Now, we have cats. Whenever there's an opportunity to help out pets, I try my best to lend a hand. If you're an animal lover, there are some much-needed things to protect them from the cold weather.

According to mystateline.com,

"Two local animal shelters are calling on the community for help. PAWS and Noah’s Ark in Rockford are trying to build winter homes for cats. The organizations are looking for donations of old coolers, totes of all sizes, straw, and foam pipe wrap. Both shelters are taking supplies to do a workshop to build cats' homes to survive the winter weather. PAWS is located on North Cherryvale Mall Drive, and Noah’s Ark is on North First Street."

If you can, please help out. Thanks.
