Celebrate ‘Adopt a Shelter Pet Day’ by Giving These Babies Furever Homes

National Adopt a Shelter Pet Day is each year on April 30.  This day was created as a way to raise awareness for thousands of pets that are waiting for (and needing) adoption from the shelters.

If you didn't know we have the best Thursdays here at 97ZOK. Because we make them Fursdays. AKA we pair up with Noah's Ark Animal Sanctuary and highlight a pet that is looking for their new start in life.

We get to play with the dogs, we spend some time on air talking about them, and we show them off on Facebook live so everyone can see how cute they are. In honor of National Adopt a Shelter Pet Day, I wanted to highlight some of the animals currently looking for homes at Noah's Ark.

Mama Spice - Spice was in studio for Fursday. She's the sweetest 2 year old pocket pittie.

Belle - She's been at Noah's Ark the longest and is 1 year old.

Charles - A 3 year old shitzu mix who loves to snuggle.

Smokey - The oldest cat at Noah's Ark who loves to be around other cats.

Dante - A 1&1/2 year old blue heeler looking for his new best friend.

These are just a few of the animals available at Noah's Ark. So please consider adoption when thinking about your next pet.
