Months after Rock Valley College called off a deal that would renovate the Barber Colman Factory as the home for the Advanced Technology Center, they have struck a deal to move into the Rockford Register Star building according to WIFR.

Many small business owners and leaders were leading the charge in getting them into the Rockford Register Star building. With more students, teachers, and visitors to the area, more money will be spent to grow the small businesses in the area. Of course many city leaders had hoped moving into the Barber Colman building would help revitalize that part of town as well.

Personally I think it's great for the downtown area to have this kind of growth. I'm sure other small businesses will start popping up around that area as well and that gives us all something to look forward to!
