Your Next Best Friend Could Be Waiting at This Rockford Event

The only thing better than having one dog is having two, and this weekend, lovable wet noses are looking for new homes.

Free Event for Rockford Animal Lovers

Meet some deserving four-legged friends this weekend at the 5th annual Pooch-A-Palooza event on Saturday (9/26) at Lou Bachrodt Auto Mall.

The free community gathering will run from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and bring together local animal rescues and families with one goal. Helping shelter pets find loving FURever homes.

Meet Pets Looking for Families

After you've discussed it with the family and it's time to bring a fur baby home, this is the perfect opportunity to meet local rescue animals that are ready for adoption.

At this year's Pooch-A-Palooza, animals from Noah's Ark Animal Sanctuary and PAWS Humane Society will be featured. Guests at the event can meet pets, talk with rescue representatives, and learn about more ways to help animals in need.

Plus, our friends at Lou Bachrodt will be covering all the adoption fees during the event on Saturday, so there's a little extra incentive to consider an adoption.

Dog Training Demonstration

Stop by Pooch-A-Palooza around 11:15 a.m. on Saturday (9/26), and you'll catch a live demonstration from the Forest City Dog Training Club, offering dog owners the chance to pick up some training tips during the festivities.

Leashed pets are welcome at the event, and admission is free.

If you are considering adoption this weekend, you're encouraged to pre-apply on the Noah's Ark Animal Sanctuary website or through the PAWS Humane Society website to make the process smoother, although pre-applications don't guarantee approval or a particular animal.
