For the first time ever, the Rock River will be dyed green for St. Patrick's Day.

Organizers are calling it Operation Emerald Water.

According to an Everything You Need To Know document obtained by 97ZOK, organizers aren't sure how long the river will stay green but are hoping everyone will be able to see the Rock River in all its emerald green glory by 5 p.m. on Saturday, March 14.

Operation Emerald Water is just one of the few things happening during PaddyFest which kicks off at Prairie Street Brewing Company (PSB) following the parade.

$10 wristbands at the door or you can buy them online. Food service starts at 4 p.m., offering Corned Beef Cabbage, Bangers and Mash, Irish Soda Bread and more traditional St. Patrick's day fare.

Live music begins at 4:30 p.m. with Emerald Wind, Trinadora, Rare Privilege, The Tooles, Minimal and Danny's Gone Rogue all playing at different times and in different spots inside PSB.
