To me, the best way to spend any holiday, or any day for that matter, is on the water. If boating and catching Rockford's fireworks display from the Rock River is your plan for the 4th of July tomorrow, here are a few restrictions you need to be aware of from the Winnebago County Sheriff's Office:

I think it is important to note that Winnebago County will have patrols on the water this 4th of July so make sure you are following proper safety precautions and are not boating/driving under the influence. The first offense of Boating Under the Influence (BUI) carries up to $2,600 in fines and 364 days in jail, and ain't nobody got time for that mess!

Happy 4th, everybody! Be safe, and God Bless the U.S.A!!!
