The Stateline got a massive amount of rain over Labor Day Weekend, and the bad news is, there's a whole lot more coming.

According to WIFR, the Illinois Department of Natural Resources says;

The Rock River is rising and is expected to crest at 11.3 feet in Rockton and 11.4 feet at Latham Park this Thursday. Flood stage in this area is considered 10 feet.

The Pecatonica River is forecast to crest at 13.8 feet Thursday.

Moderate flooding is expected in Roscoe and Machesney Park.

Due to these massive and dangerous water levels, the IDNR has officially closed the Rock and Pecatonica Rivers until further notice. All boat launches in Winnebago County are also closed.

If your home is in danger of flooding, sandbags are available at the Machesney Park Town Center at 8750 N 2nd St.
