They turned their tragedy into triumph. As a way to repay the community for their help and support this family paid it forward this weekend with egg rolls.

The Thriavong family raised over $500 dollars in three hours selling egg rolls, fried rice and crab Rangoon to pay (the community) forward for all of the help they received when their home was destroyed by the tornado. All the money goes towards buying tennis shoes for kids in the community going back to school, kids who may have lost those items in the April 9 storm.

Their goal is to purchase 150 shoes by next month for children returning back to school.
