The Thanksgiving holiday will be different for every family, in 2020. It also means many will be cooking the giant bird for the very first time.

I cannot believe this is even real. It's been so long since I've cooked a Thanksgiving turkey that it's pretty much like I've never done it before. To give you an idea of how long ago it was, the latest turkey baking innovation was to put it in a plastic bag. My family has requested that this year's bird be deep-fried, so now I have a sets of new fears.

To lighten the pressure felt by all Thanksgiving feast makers, Whole Foods is offering a protection plan against any turkey mishaps. Overcooked, undercooked, burnt or otherwise, buy your bird from Whole Foods and you're eligible for the Thanksgiving Turkey Protection Plan.

Starting November 11, 2020, purchase your Whole Foods Market turkey and pick it up in-store or have it delivered to by November 22nd, 20, and you could be eligible for turkey “insurance” – just in case you commit a turkey cooking fail.

Catch all that? Here ya go:

To be eligible for the coverage, you need to file your claim on either Thursday, November 26, 2020 or Friday, November 27, 2020. You must visit the Turkey Protection Plan website. to submit your turkey cooking fail. You’ll need:

  • Your Whole Foods Market receipt
  • A picture of your turkey fail
  • A brief explanation of what went wrong
