Meet Our Q Dogs of the Month for May, June and July

We feature a new "wet nose" every weekday morning, and at the end of the month, the dog that received the most social engagement is named our Q Dog of the Month, with Meyer's Canine Colony in Roscoe and Meyer's Tails Up Farm in Belvidere.

Three Local Dogs Have Already Stolen Q Nation's Hearts

Our Dog of the Month winner for July, who finished with 45 reactions, 13 comments, and 14 shares, is Rugar Winston. Rugar's heartwarming story touched listeners around the Stateline, making him July's top dog.

According to his owner, Rugar "had a tough start in life." He was surrendered to Winnebago County Animal Control before a local rescue stepped in after he required life-saving emergency surgery.

His future owner saw a photo of him shortly after that surgery and immediately felt a connection. "I knew I needed him just as much as he needed me," Rugar's owner wrote.
