Polar Plunge Promise Fulfilled [Pics/Video]

Last week we asked you to help us raise $200 for Special Olympics Illinois. That small goal guaranteed our entry into the annual Polar Plunge at Olson Lake at Rock Cut State Park. You stepped up (and then some) and we couldn't have been more appreciative. The goal was more than doubled with $500 but it didn't come without a cost.

One final donation had the stipulation of yours truly taking the plunge while shirtless, in a tutu, and with an absurd amount of red lipstick. Since you stepped up I knew I had no other choice. There's plenty of proof in the form of photos and video.

Thanks again for stepping up to help great organizations in the Rockford area. You are proof Rockford is a great community-minded city.
