A Little Piece of Wrigley Field in Freeport

I can now say my face is part of a miniature version of the iconic ballpark at the corner of Clark and Addison, but this is not in the Windy City.

Little Cubs Field in Freeport, Illinois, is already a special destination for Cubs fans, and some former players, including former Chicago Cubs star and 2016 World Series MVP Ben Zobrist, who recently spent the day at the field giving a clinic to kids and signing autographs for fans.

Now, the nonprofit behind Little Cubs Field has unveiled a new mural underneath its Wrigley Field scoreboard replica that features fans of the field who donated to the organization.

And yes, I donated so I could have my caricature featured on the bleacher mural, which is expected to last for the next 20 years. So if you're in the Freeport area, see if you can find me cheering in the top row of the bleachers in a red Q98.5 hoodie, wearing a blue Cubs hat.

Little Cubs Field Hosting Open House on November 7

To celebrate the completion of the new center field mural, Little Cubs Field is hosting an open house this Saturday, November 7, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Everyone featured on the mural has been invited, along with their friends and families, but the event is open to the public. The Little Cubs Field gift shop will be open; you can hit a few baseballs and take pictures in the mini-Wrigley.

And there's a live webcam fixed on Little Cubs Field so you can look in on the park from anywhere just by clicking HERE.
