Places in Rockford to Take Mom for Mother’s Day
If you're not wanting to go the typical route of just taking Mom out for brunch on Mother's Day, why not check out some of these fun Rockford places to take her to this weekend?
If your Mom is into NASCAR, then you're going to want to take her to the Rockford Speedway this Saturday, May 7th for "Ladies Night". All ladies admission is discounted to $5 and the first 100 ladies in get a free rose.
Or if your Mom loves walking through gardens you should take her Anderson Japanese Gardens this Sunday. Her admission and your grandma's admission will be waved to walk the gardens for free.!
The Rockford Public Library is having their Saturday Spectacular all about Magnificent Moms fro 11am - 11:45am. Stories about moms will be read and a special Mother's Day craft will be made.
If your Mom loves museums then check out "Museums for Mom". On Mother's Day your Mom's admission will be free when visiting all five of the local Rockford Museums. That includes The Discovery Center Museum, Burpee Museum of Natural History, Rockford Art Museum, Klehm Arboretum and the Nicholas Conservatory and Gardens.
Personally, I would take my Mom to either Klehm Arboretum or Anderson Japanese Gardens, because she loves flowers and all types of gardens.
Hopefully one of these places may be of help to create a wonderful day to celebrate your Mom!
