Oregon IL Pre-Teen Asks For Unusual Items For Her Birthday

When your a girl that's turning 11, your thoughts of birthday presents are usually clothes, make up, games, toys and anything sparkly, fuzzy or furry.

That's not so for an Oregon, IL pre-teen who asked for some unusual items for her special day.

WIFR caught up with 11 year old Olivia wade to see what she really wanted for her birthday.

Olivia asked that instead of getting gifts for her birthday she wanted animal supplies to be given to the Granny Rose Animal Shelter in Dixon, IL.

Olivia said "she wanted to give back to something she loves to make a difference." Her hope is that "she [can] continue giving back to those in need and hopes to make this an annual event."

Wow! That is so awesome.

What a sweet and caring her Olivia has. I think that is great.
