When Is Raising Cane’s Opening in Rockford? We Finally Know the Date!

For months we have been watching the new Raising Cane's restaurant being built in Rockford, and now we finally know when it will open for our chicken dining pleasure!

My youngest daughter would eat chicken nuggets every day for breakfast, lunch, and dinner if we let her, so to say she has been eagerly awaiting for Rockford's new Raising Cane's to open is quite the understatement.

Whenever we drive by the Raising Cane's construction site at 6445 East State Street I hear things like; "is the chicken place open yet?" or "why is it taking so long for this to open?", and now I'll be able to provide the answer she has been waiting months for.

When Will Raising Cane's Open in Rockford?

Do you remember back in January when Raising Cane's announced that construction on the new restaurant would be finished way ahead of schedule and the hiring process had begun? I certainly remember that, and also assumed it meant the new restaurant would be ready to open in just a few weeks.

Well, it took more than a couple of weeks, BUT Raising Cane's Rockford is almost ready to open...still ahead of schedule.

Raising Cane's website may still list Rockford's location as "coming soon", BUT a Raising Cane's representative told WIFR;

Raising Cane’s new Rockford Restaurant is slated to open Tuesday, April 15th, offering 20 lucky customers Free Canes for a Year, community givebacks, and more. As part of Raising Cane’s commitment to the Communities it serves, the new Restaurant will engage with local schools, sports teams, and non-profit organizations through fundraising opportunities and sponsorships.

Sounds like a pretty cool business to welcome into Rockford, don't you think?

Starting April 15, 2025, Raising Cane's Rockford will be open Sunday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 12 a.m., and from 10 a.m. to 1 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.
