I was just talking to my two daughters the other day about our favorite time of year, and we all agreed: September, October, November and December are basically the best four months of the year.
Some people might call them the "ber months", but my girls and I will take hoodies, colorful leaves, days spent at an apple orchard, and holiday decorations over heat and humidity any day of the year.
Now our fall-loving hearts have another reason to celebrate: Opening day for the 2026 season at Lindberg Pumpkin Patch in Caledonia is Friday, September 11!
Reasons to Visit Lindberg Pumpkin Patch
If you've never made the trip to the Pumpkin Patch, I highly recommend adding it to your family's fall bucket list this year. It has everything families need to enjoy a perfect fall day, and it has been a Northern Illinois tradition for decades.
Obviously, picking out the perfect pumpkin (or 10 if you're anything like me) is one of the biggest reasons to visit Lindberg Pumpkin Patch, but that's just the beginning.
The Lindberg Pumpkin Patch also features:
- A petting zoo
- Inflatables
- A corn maze
- A corn bin and playground
- Shopping
- Food and donuts
- Live DJ on the weekends...and more!
The Lindberg Pumpkin Patch even hosts a special costume party called the Witches Ball in October:
So if your family is now ready to officially say goodbye to summer and hello to pumpkin season, you won't get any judgment from me.
Lindberg Pumpkin Patch is located at 3178 IL Route 173 in Caledonia, and beginning September 11, it will be open daily from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. through Halloween.
