QDOBA Is Making a Comeback in Rockford! Here’s How It Differs from Chipotle
After nearly a decade of being gone, QDOBA Mexican Eats is planning to open not one, not two, but three new restaurants in Rockford, Illinois!
For the Love of Mexican Food
I'm going to shoot it straight here; if you want to get on my good side just bring me puppies, chocolate, and tacos (or burritos, or enchiladas, or quesadillas...you get my point).
In fact, my entire family LOVES eating tacos and anytime we go out to eat or grab food away from home, Mexican foods are typically what we gravitate to. Taco Bell, Fiesta Cancun, Chipotle, my kids love it all, so I'm pretty stoked that we'll have a new fast-casual Mexican restaurant to add to the rotation soon in Rockford.
QDOBA to Open 3 New Locations in Rockford
I am ashamed to admit that I have never eaten at a QDOBA before, but I do remember when there was a QDOBA on W Lane Road in Machesney Park several years ago, (there was another on Walton St. in Rockford too). It was the restaurant we always said "we need to stop there" when we drove by it, but never actually made it into. Well, that will be changing soon.
According to WIFR;
Fast-casual restaurant chain QDOBA Mexican Eats enters an agreement with Roaring Forks, LLC to bring the three new locations to the area.
So, we know 3 new QDOBAS will be opening in the Rockford area, BUT no one knows where or when they will open yet.
QDOBA Vs. Chipotle
If you too have never been to a QDOBA before, the first thing you need to know is that the food they serve is similar to Chipotle with one big difference; QDOBA has way more menu options.
I found a Reddit post written by someone who has worked for both Chipotle and QDOBA and laid out the major differences between the two fast-casual Mexican restaurants.
This person laid out comparisons for everything from price to food preparation style, and the biggest takeaway is this; QDOBA has more menu options (and they don't charge for quac), but Chipotle uses fresher ingredients.
Are you a QDOBA or Chipotle person? I'd love to hear your thoughts...just send me an app message!
