Here in the 815, we have the Rockford City Market. It's a lot of fun. Cool local vendors, music, and food. You really can't go wrong.

While we love the City Market, it didn't make Stacker's list of the 50 Best Farmer's in America.

It's a national list, I'm not going to be too mad at Stacker for leaving off a Rockford staple, but look at the bright side, the article does mention one market in Wisconsin and two in Illinois.

One farmers market on the list was even rated as one of the 10 best in America.

The 35th best farmers market in America is the Logan Square Farmers Market at 2755 North Milwaukee Avenue in Chicago.

I used to live in Logan Square in Chicago. It's so cool to see a spot in my old hometown on the list.

One spot above the Logan Square Farmers Market is the Dane County Farmers' Market located at Capitol Square in Madison, Wisconsin.

The Dane County Farmers' Market is the only one on the list found in Wisconsin.

Way up near the top of the list is Illinois' very best farmers market and 2nd best in the midwest.

It's called the Green City Market at 1790 North Clark Street in Chicago.

Stacker:

The Green City Market actually operates three different markets, but this location is the most popular, with two weekly editions—Wednesday and Saturday mornings—pulling in chefs and food-lovers from around the area.

Have you been to the Green City Market? Is it the best in Illinois? If not, do you have another farmers market you believe is better? Tell us!
