Ogle County Residents Asked To Be On The Lookout

If you live in Ogle County, be on the lookout for suspicious activity. 

According to the Ogle County Sheriffs Department Facebook page:

"The Ogle County Sheriff's Office is asking the citizens of Ogle County to lock their vehicles at night. On Thursday night, August 11th, several cars in the Rock River Terrace, 5500 North River Road, were burglarized. All vehicles were unlocked. On Saturday night, August 13th, several vehicles in Lost Nation were burglarized. All vehicles were unlocked. Several communities in Ogle County are also experiencing above average car burglaries in which burglars are targeting unlocked vehicles.

The Sheriff's Office is encouraging anyone who knows who committed these burglaries to contact the Ogle County Sheriff's Office at 815-732-2136 or contact the Ogle-Lee Crime Stoppers at 888-228-4488. Crime Stoppers will pay a reward up to $1,000 for information leading to an arrest."
