New Jamaican Restaurant Opening This Weekend in Rockford

Nothing says Jamaican food like a freezing January day in Illinois.

Seriously though, I'm kind of hyped about this new restaurant opening in Rockford, called Jamaica on the Grill.

Located at 1021 East State Street, Jamaica on the Grill on Facebook says "we have a variety of seafood, tropical fruits, and meats are available. Some Jamaican cuisine dishes are variations on the cuisines and cooking styles brought to the island from elsewhere."

The grand opening invite on Facebook asks the public to "taste the real authentic Jamaican jerk chicken and more for free, only on grand opening day."

Jamaica on the Grill officially opens this Saturday (1/25) at 11:30 a.m.
