Miranda Lambert Debuts Lighter Hair Color
Miranda Lambert isn't letting a divorce get her down. What's a girl to do after a big lifestyle change? Change her hair, of course! Lambert debuted a much lighter 'do on her Instagram on Thursday (Aug. 20).
Lambert went from an ashy blond to a stunning platinum blond. With the photo, she alluded to divorce with the clever caption (and one of her song lyrics), "What doesn't kill you makes you blonder." We can't argue with that statement, and Lambert is really rocking the lighter blond hairstyle. In the caption she also thanked those responsible for the gorgeous locks, "Thanks @leewright_hairstylist and @stylehousesalon for the new do! #platinum #blondeshavemorefun."
Lambert trusts Lee Wright with her hair. The hairstylist works at a Nashville salon called Style House Salon. As of late, the singer has been an ashier blond and, this time, he suggested she go lighter once again. Lambert clearly liked the idea!
“She had been going with a darker blond the last six months or so, closer to her natural color,” Wright tells People. “She sat down in the chair yesterday and we both said, ‘Let’s go really blond again.’ She loved it — I spun her around, like, ‘You’re back!'”
Lambert opted to keep the same cut she's had for a while — a bob that really suits her face shape. Wright says it's the perfect cut for the "Automatic" singer since it's so versatile.
“We’re just trying to stay around this of swingy, layered blunt bob because it’s real versatile,” he points out. “She can smooth it down and make it really sleek or she can put texture sprays in it and just make it look more rock ‘n’ roll.”
Lambert's country with an edge of rock 'n roll, and we wouldn't have it (or her) any other way.
