A man from the Midwest has decided to only drink beer during Lent this year.

I grew up Catholic, so that meant during Lent I had to give up something. If you're not familiar, Lent runs for 40 days between Ash Wednesday (the day after Fat Tuesday) until Easter.

As a kid, I usually gave up something like candy or soda. One year as an adult, I gave up drinking.

Well, a man in Ohio is taking it to a whole different level.

According to local12.com,

"The season of Lent means Christians are fasting and giving up certain pleasures or vices. One Ohio man is taking a page from history. For 46 days, He is drinking only beer."

I've heard people say, in every can, there is a meal.

He plans a drinking different kinds of beer throughout the process, so at least it will get changed up.

He won't eat any real food until Easter Sunday. The only other thing allowed besides beer is water.

"He’s taking a nod from monks in the 1600s that would fast during the season by a bock beer diet."

The beer lover will be checking in with a doctor to make sure his body is doing alright. He will also be tracking his adventure on Social media.

Good luck on his quest.

Would you ever try something like this fast?
