Boy Scout Troop 123 of Rockford is trying to raise funds for various outings. Here's how you can help and get ready for Halloween at the same time.

If you've ever been a Boy Scout in the Stateline, or had a loved one in Scouts, you already know how important this organization is in shaping a young boys life. Troop 123 of Rockford is looking for help, but they're working for it.

The Boy Scouts will be hosting their Annual Pumpkin Sale through Halloween Saturday selling pumpkins in the parking lot of Spring Creek United Church of Christ at the Northeast Corner of Spring Creek and North Alpine Roads. The Boy Scouts will be manning the yard of pumpkins everyday.

The profits raised by the Scouts will be used for adventure trips for over 25 boys including kayaking, repelling, canoeing, hiking and camping.

So if you need a pumpkin, check them out weekdays from 10 a.m. till 8 p.m. and weekends from 4 p.m.-8 p.m.

I always wanted to be a Boy Scout growing up because of these cool, outdoor adventures. If you're like me, let's make sure boys get an adventure we didn't get as a kid.
