Illinois Named One of America’s Most Haunted States

When you thought it couldn't get spooky enough in the Land of Lincoln this Halloween season, this new ranking from Playcasino.com says we're one of the most haunted states in America.

Ghost Sightings Put Illinois Near the Top

Travel + Leisure reports that there have been 2,151 ghost sightings in Illinois, just behind Michigan and Ohio, and that the top two most ghostly states are California and Texas.

The Midwest Has Its Fair Share of Haunted History

Nearby, Indiana ranked 6th overall, and the most haunted ship in America is the Queen Mary in Long Beach, California, which is very, very far from us in Illinois. Thankfully, that is something I won't be checking out anytime soon.
