The Phantom Plane at Chicago’s O’Hare Airport

Far & Wide:

In 1979, American Airlines Flight 191 crashed at O’Hare International in Chicago right after takeoff, killing all 271 on board. Since then, air traffic controllers have reported seeing a similar jet flicker on the radar and disappear. Some even say ghostly figures have been spotted at Gate K5, where the flight departed.

I was unaware of all of this, including the plane crash itself. You better believe the next time I walk through O'Hare, I'll be looking for that gate in particular.
