Fire broke out on the 87th Floor of The John Hancock Building in Chicago late Thursday night. How bad was it?

According to ABC Chicago TV, Firefighters were called just before 10 p.m. Thursday. Flames when fire broke out on the 87th floor of the Magnificent Mile high-rise.

After much concern and worry from officials, the fire was contained to one condo and extinguished within an hour. There was some smoke damage in the building, but thankfully no one was hurt.

Fire officials remind homeowners to always be careful and check smoke detector batteries regularly.
