Collaborative Effort for Enhanced Aging Services
As a requirement of the federal Older Americans Act, Illinois periodically submits a State Plan on Aging. Creating this plan is a collaborative process with the community, and we look forward to engaging stakeholders and residents across the state over the next several months. -IDoA Acting Director Mary Killough
Leaders from IDoA and regional Area Agencies on Aging will host twelve roundtable discussions across Illinois.
These meetings will gather input from various stakeholders to inform the upcoming State Plan on Aging, which will succeed the current plan that extends through the federal fiscal year 2025.
The new plan, slated for a draft release in early 2025, addresses the evolving needs of older adults and their caregivers.
Public Feedback Welcomed
Older adults, their families, and caregivers are encouraged to participate in these roundtable discussions to voice their concerns and suggestions.
