GameStop Stores in Illinois & Wisconsin Are Buying Smartphones with TikTok Installed
Have you heard that Gamestop stores are buying smartphones with the TikTok app installed on them? There's one big thing you need to know before you go to cash in.
What's Going On With TikTok?
I'm going to sound really uncool right now, but I don't , nor have I ever had the TikTok app stored on my phone. Why? Because I don't need another time stealer in my life, and I know I would be addicted to it.
Since I have never spent an afternoon needlessly scrolling TikTok, I'm not feeling the frustration and withdrawal that many Americans are feeling right now thanks to the government's on again/off again banning of the app.
In the midst of all this drama there is one big thing I don't understand.
If so many people are desperate to have the TikTok app again, why did they ever delete it in the first place? Or is it just people who recently got a new phone and missed downloading TikTok on it that are willing to pay big bucks for the app?
GameStop Is Paying Cash for Smartphones With TikTok Installed
If you have the TikTok app installed on your smartphone and are willing to part with it, GameStop stores throughout Illinois and Wisconsin are happy to pay you cash for it.
According to a Yahoo! Tech article;
In a January 22 social media post, GameStop confirmed that customers could trade in their devices for cash or store credit.
I always thought GameStop only dealt with gaming devices, accessories, games, and Funko Pops, but apparently they have just recently started to buy used smartphones, tablets, and smart watches.
Rumors have been flying around social media that GameStop is paying thousands of dollars for smartphones with the TikTok app installed, but in reality, it's more like hundreds.
