If you want the best career in Law Enforcement, look no further than Illinois Conservation Police
So, what does an Illinois conservation officer do? Check out the video below:
Sounds cool, eh? The IDNR says their staffing is at "extremely low in numbers and with upcoming retirements, we need to hire in the near future." However, remember that this is Illinois and we still don't have a budget, so the funds are not there yet to allow the department to hire. In fact, the department is not testing either, due to the budget impasse in Springfield.
The IDNR Conservation Police say that when they are ready to announce testing and hiring, they will update everyone on their Facebook page. You can also go to the IDNR Website for a listing of career opportunities available along with a study guide for the application exam.
