Rockford Public Schools Is Hiring For Lots of Positions Next Week
The COVID-19 pandemic caused a lot of job losses, but now a year later, several businesses in Rockford are struggling to hire employees, and RPS 205 is no exception. Rockford Public Schools might not have let many of their employees go during the pandemic, but they are always struggling to hire new employees.
If you're a teacher fresh out of school or looking to make a district switch, RPS 205 wants you! If you're a paraprofessional, a nutrition specialist or someone who'd like to start a new gig as a school bus driver, RPS 205 wants you too!
On Friday, June 18, 2021, Rockford Public Schools will be hosting a job fair from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the field house at East High School. They are looking to hire lots of employees to fill openings for teachers, paraprofessionals, nutrition services, bus drivers, IT and more.
Interested candidates should start the hiring process by filling out a Career Interest Form at rps205.com/careers.
FYI, RPS 205 employees receive insurance benefits after being on the job for 30 days that includes health, dental, and prescription coverage. Employees with certified positions are eligible for pension benefits through the Teachers' Retirement System of the State of Illinois, and non-certified positions who clock in more than 600 hours per year are eligible for pension benefits through the Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund.
