How to Use The Free Wifi Option Coming to Rockford During The Cold
The cold is coming and you probably want nothing more than to be curled up in bed with a cup of hot chocolate watching Netflix. But picture this, you get the call work or school is cancelled. You curl back up in bed and open your laptop or turn on your tv and see you have no wifi or cable. That can ruin a snow day.
Well, Xfinity wants to make sure that doesn't happen. Due to the dangerous weather conditions, Xfinity is offering free WiFi to all in the Chicago area until the end of January. The company says all hotspots will be open through Thursday, Jan. 31. Fox details -
The Windy City and other areas in the upper Midwest are preparing for historic cold later this week, with some weather projections predicting around -45 to -60 wind chills. The National Weather Service's Storm Prediction Center said Monday that a storm system is bringing heavy snow over the Great Lakes on Monday before ushering in bitter cold air into the region.
